![]() ![]() If you get to enjoy StS I highly recommend Klei's title, it's a fresh approach at the genre, it introduces many new concepts and doesn't just copy StS mechanics (as many games that appeared after StS did). it is better than Slay's ones (mainly because StS just doesn't care about those things, it's just arcade oriented high fun/gameplay 0 story/art game). Artwise, is a better game for sure, the concepts of the characters, the music, the "acting". On the other hand, I must be getting to the 100 hours on Griftlands. It's a great game without many downsides, I can assure you that. I've thanked a million times StS for setting the genre, and because of it now I can almost play any deckbuilder roguelike without fearing to get beaten at first chance. I think if you want to start slow and steady, StS is a great choice, it makes you understand how synergies work and how to craft a good deck, it set the bases for many of your strategies and help you understand many concepts easily enough, while maintaining a high grade of complexity which will maintain you playing for days. I've almost completed all achievements and reached highest Ascension with most of the characters. With 550 hours on StS I would recommend it over and over. ![]()
